SPORT AT OUR LADY OF FATIMA DOMINICAN CONVENT SCHOOL
Our Lady of Fatima Dominican Convent School, although being a small school, can proudly boast a number of talented sportswomen who have achieved at provincial and national levels.
It is not the winning that is important, but the spirit in which the game is played; and the support given to the players. While at Fatima we recognize that not everyone has the inborn talents of an Olympic athlete, we nevertheless believe in providing all sports enthusiasts with an opportunity to ‘play the game.’
Sports facilities are excellent. These facilities include a swimming pool, 3 tennis courts, 4 netball courts and 1 multi-use court. Our Lady of Fatima is a small shareholder of Riverside Sports club, which is home to Fatima hockey. The action netball courts at Durban North Arena are used for the Action Netball matches. Northwood Crusaders Sports club is also a home ground.
HIGH SCHOOL- Grades 8 -12
Swimming, Hockey, Indoor Hockey, Netball, Action Netball, Soccer, Waterpolo, Tennis, Touch Rugby, Cross Country and Equestrian.
SENIOR PRIMARY – Grades 4 -7
Swimming, Hockey, Indoor Hockey, Netball, Action Netball, Cross Country, Soccer, Waterpolo, Tennis, Rhythmic Gymnastics and Equestrian.
JUNIOR PRIMARY – Grades 1 -3
Swimming, Hockey, Netball, Mini Tennis, Ball Skills, Cross Country, Movement and Rhythmic Gymnastics.
